"I refuse to let the past find me here."
When i read this part it reminded me of what we talked about in class a few months ago about trying to escape fate. And then like how most of us had different opinions on how we agreed and disagreed with the idea.
Now after reading the book what are some of the ideas you guys have on this, has your views changed knowing that she's in a way trying to escpae fate and avoiding her past.

I think that it was impossible for Gemma to escape her fate. No matter what, on her sixteenth birthday she would get the powers. The only thing that could have possibly been avoided was how involved she got with it. Then again, maybe it was her fate to get involved in the Order and reopen the realms.

ReplyDeleteThis reminded me of a movie I seen, I forgot the name of it, but it was about this girl who when she turns 18 her soul will be giving to the devil because she could of died when she was a baby but her mom sold her soul so she could live.
And she couldn't escape it unless she killed herself on the night she turns 18.
